Race Info
The Races
10k (6.2 Miles)
The 10k course takes you along the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This fast and flat course begins at 17th and Atlantic Avenue which parallels to Atlantic Ocean. Participants will run along Atlantic Avenue, the boardwalk, down to the Rudee Inlet and back up to the boardwalk to finish at 18th street along the ocean.
Monster Mile
This one mile fun run begins at 17th street and Atlantic Avenue, runs north to 25th street and back down to 18th street finishing on the Virginia Beach boardwalk.
Costume Contest The costume contest judges table will be in the after party area on the beach. If you want to be eligible for a prize, come to the table with your bib, group name and all members of your group. We will be judging before the race from 7a - 7:45a and after the race from 9:00a - 10:30a. You must wear your costume during the race to enter the costume contest. Awards
Overall and Age Group awards will be given out following the race. Awards will be provided to:
Top three overall male and female
Top three overall male and female masters
Top three overall male and female in each age group
Awards will also be provided for best and most creative costumes. There will be a judging table in the beach party area where judges will score participants. The top three individuals with the most creative/fun costume win an award. In addition, pairs of 2 and groups of 5 or more with the best/most creative costumes will win as well (top 3 pairs and top 3 groups). See the FAQ for specifics on judging and costume rules.
