The Races
10k (6.2 Miles)
The 10k course takes you along the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This fast and flat course will begin at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 19th Street (click here for directions). Participants will run down 19th street, along Atlantic Avenue, down to the Rudee Inlet and back up to the boardwalk to finish at 19th street along the ocean.

Monster Mile
This one mile fun run begins at 21st street and Atlantic Avenue, runs north to 27th street and back down to 19th street finishing on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. This run is for everyone from the super speedy to the first time racers - all are welcome!
Costume Contest
The costume contest judging will occur before and after the race. If you want to be eligible for a prize, come to the table with your bib, group name (if you are a group) and all members of your group. We will be judging before the race inside the convention center from 6:30am - 7:30am and after the race from 8:45am - 10:00am. You must wear your costume during the race to enter the costume contest. Awards
Overall awards will be given out following the race. Age Group and Master's awards will be mailed or picked up.
Top three overall male and female
Top three overall male and female masters
Top three overall male and female in each age group
Awards will also be provided for best and most creative costumes. There will be a judging table at the convention center prior to the race and in the beach party area after the race where judges will score participants. The top three individuals with the most creative/fun costume win an award. In addition, pairs of 2 and groups of 3 or more with the best/most creative costumes will win as well (top 3 pairs and top 3 groups). See the FAQ for specifics on judging and costume rules.
