The Races
Blue Moon Wicked 10k (6.2 Miles)
The 10k course takes you along the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This fast and flat course will begin at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 19th Street (click here for directions). Participants will run down 19th street, along Atlantic Avenue, down to the Rudee Inlet and back up to the boardwalk to finish at 20th Street along the ocean. Spectator entrance to the after party is at 17th Street.

Old Point National Bank Monster Mile
This one mile fun run begins at 20th street and Atlantic Avenue, runs north to 27th street and back down to 20th street finishing on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. This run is for everyone from the super speedy to the first time racers - all are welcome!

**The Monster Mile is a 1-mile race open to participants of all ages. Parents or guardians are encouraged to run with their minor children but must be registered for the race. Responsible adult family members must be present at the finish to receive their minor children as there will be no additional security beyond the secured finisher’s area, and no specific parent/child reunion area.
Costume Contest
The costume contest judging will occur before and after the race. If you want to be eligible for a prize, come to the table with your bib, group name (if you are a group) and all members of your group. We will be judging before the race inside the convention center from 6:30am - 7:30am and after the race at the beach party from 8:45am - 10:15am. You must wear your costume during the race to enter the costume contest. For complete rules, see our FAQ section.

Awards
A presentation will be made on stage for Overall M/F and Masters M/F. All other age group awards will be given out at the "Awards" tent on the beach during the after party. If you think you have won an award, please check at the Awards tent. If you are unable to wait for the official results and pick up your award on race day, you may have a friend pick it up or pay to have it shipped. We will contact all winners post race to organize pickup or delivery.

Top three overall male and female masters
Top three overall male and female in each age group
Awards will also be provided for best and most creative costumes. There will be a judging table at the convention center prior to the race and in the beach party area after the race where judges will score participants. The top three individuals with the most creative/fun costume win an award. In addition, pairs of 2 and groups of 3 or more with the best/most creative costumes will win as well (top 3 pairs and top 3 groups). See the FAQ for specifics on judging and costume rules.
